#MOVIEREVIEW FOR #5THWAVE : In life someone has to take one for the team and that someone just happens to be ME. From the start of the film my curiosity was through the roof, but that ended up leading to numerous head nods (and eventually a quick nap). Believe you me I should have known to go into this film with extreme caution due to only seeing ONE trailer since the fall. I won’t totally throw #5thwave under the bus because the curiosity still remained as I watched. You know how you make a paper plane and because the edges are really sharp you think it’s going to fly to the moon? And bam soon as you toss it straight curve to the ground it goes ??? Well that’s what this film did to me. All the hypeness I went in with just gone in the 1st 15 ( ok 20 minutes ) of the movie. It did have major potential as to why it wasn’t filmed to remains a mystery to me. Overall with the lack of attention grabbing story telling and a few cinematic moments to excite about #5thwave was definitely not epic as the title sounds.
